The event, which took place over the course of a week, included a Health Walk, Clean-up Exercise, and a Week-long Screening of the Yolo Series.

The Health Walk
The Health Walk was the first event of the week and was held on a Saturday morning. It was aimed at promoting physical activity and encouraging people to prioritize their health and wellness

. The walk was led by FoGF’s team of fitness experts and covered a distance of approximately 6 kilometers. Participants were also educated on the importance of regular exercise and its benefits to their overall health.

The Clean-Up Exercise

The Clean-up Exercise was held on return from the walk up the hills and aimed at promoting environmental cleanliness and the importance of waste management. Through a collaboration with Zoomlion Ghana and Footprints of Glory Foundation, workers of the unit in Tsito were on hand to lead the clean-up exercise and assisted volunteers and the general public to embark on an effective cleaning campaign. Participants were provided with gloves, trash bags, and other necessary equipment and were divided into groups to clean up various parts of the town. The exercise was a huge success, as participants were able to clear a significant amount of waste from the streets and public areas of the town.

The Movie Show
The Week-long Screening of the Yolo Series was held in the evenings only from Saturday to Wednesday and was aimed at educating participants, especially the youth, on sexual and reproductive health issues. The Yolo Series is a Ghanaian television series that addresses issues such as teenage pregnancy, HIV/AIDS, and sexual violence. It is an educative program that seeks to create awareness and promote healthy living.
The screening was held at the central location at the Zorgbe and Mokala intersection and projected on a giant screen. The aim was to reach as many people as possible and to create awareness of the importance of taking care of one’s sexual and reproductive health. The program was well received, as participants were able to learn about the different topics addressed in the series and to ask questions on issues that they found challenging.
A nurse from the Tsito Health Center was on hand to educate, explain and answer questions by patrons of the movie show at the end of every session during the questions and answer segment. This was a collaborative work between the health facility and Footprints of Glory to have an effective program and achieve its set out goals.
The FoGF’s Health Walk, Clean-up Exercise, and Week-long Screening of the Yolo Series was a huge success, as it was able to achieve its goals of promoting physical activity, environmental cleanliness, and sexual and reproductive health education. The event was well attended, with participants from different parts of the town coming together to make a positive impact in their community.
