Footprints of Glory as a foundation has been concerned about the future of the youth in Awudome. Many young people in the communities struggle to find employment or pursue further education, which led to high rates of unemployment and poverty. These youth are walking our streets unemployed and being involved in several vises. Some of them being school dropouts feel they have no hope and have hit the rock in life. To address this, Footprints of Glory under its Youth Empowerment program supports youth to enter into apprenticeship or school to acquire skills to enable them start their own income generating ventures. We partner with local businesses and schools to provide opportunities for young people to gain skills and education. Footprints of Glory under this program is engaging the youth (including school dropouts) on several fronts to transform their consciousness through their beliefs, values, and attitude. Assistance is being given to those willing to go back to school or into a vocational school or go into apprenticeship to undergo skills training. We seek to as well explore job opportunities to absorb the youth in order to get those with the requisite qualifications employed.
