Reading festival

Education

Results and findings from the conduct of quizzes for both upper primary and JHS have revealed the inability of pupils to read and understand Basic English. They face difficulties in understanding Basic English when questions are read to them for answers. It is therefore the desire of the foundation to introduce Reading Festivals within the various communities where pupils from lower primary (Primaries 1, 2, and 3) compete in reading, spelling, word formation, etc. It is expected to be a public reading festival where Chiefs, opinion leaders, parents, and the general public in each community will have the chance to witness this competition at the community level. This will boost the interest of parents and the general public in the needs of their wards, encourage their wards, and boost good parental care which is a major shortcoming within the jurisdiction.
